Hired as a servant in Kirkwhelpington, May Day 1746, where he continued for upwards of a year. No further information about his movements known until he turns up in Westmorland and is examined for settlement, 2 June 1785,and found to have legal settlement in Kirkwhelpington.</div>Scottishadmin
