Matriculated from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge (1664), graduating with a BA in 1669. Travelled on the continent and returned to England, settling permanently in 1670.&lt;br /&gt;
Private tutor to Colonel Charles Wheeler at Oxford. Ordained at Ely (1671), and moved to Kent the following year. Became a priest in London (1672) and became private chaplain to William, Lord Grey of Warke. &lt;br /&gt;
Brief sojourn in Ireland. Returned to England, where he became involved in a slander case, in which he won damages. Appointed perpetual curate of St James's, Duke Place London from 1685 until his death in 1700.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
