First Viscount Stormont. Entered royal service whilst in Scotland. Accompanied James VI to take up English throne. Personally advanced money to facilitate the royal journey. Given royal commission to raise a guard to act as a police force to ensure execution of orders of privy council (1604). Appears to return to Scotland where he was granted a number of various commissions. Died 1631.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
