Apprehended as a vagrant in Levens, Westmorland.  Examined for settlement, 15 July 1760, and served with removal order.  Has been in England for at least six years, when his third son was born in Cockermouth, and in Leven at least three, when his youngest son was born there.  Two eldest children and wife are all Scots.
