Re-entered parliament as MP for Cromartyshire (1710-13). Left little trace in records of the House. Does not appear to be directly involved in general election of 1715. Returned as MP for Cromartyshire (1727-28) when he died in September 1728. His son [[Mackenzie, George (London) 2]] succeeded to the parliamentary seat.
