Apprehended as a vagrant in Kirkland, Westmorland, along with her children.  Examined for settlement and served with a removal order, 27 March 1761.  Her husband is a whipmaker, apprenticed in Edinburgh, where she married him approximately twelve years previously and where he gained settlement.  They settled in Kirland, but he abandoned his family about five weeks before, leaving them destitute.
