15th laird of Kilravock. Sat in Scottish Parliament for Nairnshire (1700-7) joining the Country opposition. After 1706, voted with the Court in the Union parliament. Represented Scotland in first Parliament of Great Britain. Question over whether he actually attended Westminster. Did not stand for seat in 1708. Held post of sheriff of Ross-shire (1706-22, 1729-32). Died 1732.
