3rd Duke of Atholl. Educated at Eton College (1742-5) and Soho Academy (1746-7). Captain in Loudoun’s Regiment, though deprived of his commission (1745-6). Elected MP for Perthshire with support of the Duke of Argyll. Supported the Administration, attaching himself to the Earl of Bute. Died 1774.
