Lord Charles Murray. Received an army commission in Flanders (1713) but upon return to Britain developed Jacobite sympathies. Joined the 1715 rising, leading a regiment into England. Fought at battle of Preston and was taken prisoner. Convicted of mutiny but father's influence prevented execution. Remained in prison until 1717 and was released. Did not return to Scotland. Settled in London where he died in 1720.
