Examines for settlement in St Martins in the Field, 5 January 1743. 25 years of age, and never married. Born in Cupar, son of John Roach, farmer. Left Scotland seven years previously, when she was hired servant by one Captain Honeyman at Crail. He sailed with her to London, and she was his servant at George Street for about a year. Subsequently worked in service, although never more than one year with a single employer.
