Graduated MD at Marischal College, Aberdeen in 1755. Became licentiate of the London College of Physicians in 1763 Grant set up a successful practice in London and was the physician to the Misericordia Hospital, Goodman's Fields. He returned to Scotland at an unknown date, dying in Edinburgh. Published on subject of fevers in teh 1770s
