‘Whereas there is in ye hands of Mr. Lincolne xxli wch belonge to Mary Smedleys childe wch was gotten on her body by Willm Clarke a Scottishman. It is ordered that the same shall be put into the hands of Mr. Hollis or any other good man upon Bond to pay ye same to ye child at her age or marriage wth consideration in ye meane time towards ye better education of ye child’.
