Apprehended as a vagrant, 2 May 1752, and sent to House of Correction at Appleby. Examined for settlement, 22 May 1752. Claims to be more than 60 years old. Served as an apprentice at Leeds (in an unspecified trade) in her twenties, and then moved to Jedburgh as the wife of William Howd. He died more than twenty years previously, since which time she has been a wandering vagrant.
