Nephew of John Craige (d. c. 1620). Educated at Helmstadt and Padua. Elected and admitted to the Royal College of Physicians of London (1616-1617). Attended James VI during his final illness, and incurred court displeasure for opining that the king had been poisoned. Physician-in-ordinary to Charles I (1635).
