Minister of Udny (1678), Old Deer (1681) and Dalkeith (1683). Deprived on account of Jacobite sympathies (1689-1690). Lived for a time in England (c.1690), and then in France and Dutch Republic. Appointed minister of Northolt, Middlesex (1709).
