Minister of Ruthven (c.1615), Falkirk (c.1617) and Ayr (1625). Supported Charles I's new prayer book (1637), a stance which attracted considerable popular opposition and for which he was ultimately deposed (1638). Retired to England. Vicar of Selling (1639) and Throwley (1649), both in Kent. Also rector of Leaveland, Kent.
