Imprisoned at Stamfordham for stealing a horse (1741), but escaped the same night. Described as "a little short squat young man about twenty two years of age had on a dark couler’d Strait short coat with large round place buttens, Tartan Britches [and] hose, a little long visag’d [and] ruddy, long black lank hair tied behind with a riband". Said to be from 'Achatire', Perthshire.
