Received recognizance, October 1667, to appear before next Quarter Session, to answer charges of stealing a hogshead of wine which had been impounded by William Barker, merchant of Newcastle, as foreign contraband. Also to answer charges of assaulting Ann Barker, John Scarth and George Goston, all of Newcastle.
