Studied at the University of Edinburgh, completing MA of arts in 1600. Settled in London in 1607 and dedicated life to promoting James’ British project & Episcopal church. Actively sought a post at Chelsea College but due to various writings and religious claims the position was beyond his reach. Effectively ended his career in Britain and migrating to Continent.
