Sir William Rollo [Rollack]. Politically active in Scotland in mid-1600s. By 1644 had joined the life guard of horse where held a captaincy and served in Newcastle's army. Rollo resigned that commission to join the Earl of Montrose. During this time was stationed at various places across England – Carlisle, Oxford. Rollo was captured during an expedition into the borders and was executed at Glasgow 1645.
