London tobacco merchant. Elected as an opposition Whig for Glasgow Burghs, owing his election to Walpole. Followed the Duke of Argyll (Campbell, John (London) in parliament, voting against the Hanoverians (1742). After Argyll's death voted with the Government, including for the Hanoverians (1743). Died 1744.
