Son of Annand, William. Moved with his father to Kent (1638). Matriculated at Oxford (1652), and graduated MA (1658). Minister of Weston on the Green, Oxfordshire and vicar of Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Returned to Scotland as chaplain of Middleton, John (1662), and appointed minister of the Tolbooth, Edinburgh (1663). Dean of Edinburgh (1676).
