Minister of Kirkpatrick-Irongray (1653). Deprived following the restoration of bishops (1662). Became a well-known field preacher in south-western Scotland and Northumberland (where he also used the alias 'Hope'), and active in the Covenanter rebellion (1679). Went to London following the rising, where he died.
