Daughter of John Gedde. Extremely pious child who was often invited to pray at clandestine Presbyterian prayer meetings. Conferred with ministers and considered a child prophet and became much sought after for spiritual council. Went with her parents to London in 1675, learned to write at a private school. Had returned to Scotland by 1679 where she died in 1681, aged 16.
