Mentioned in the settlement examination of his wife, Hardy, Eleanor, in St Martin in the Fields, 17 November 1732. Married in Edinburgh, c.1707. Trained to no trade, but worked as a chapman selling cloth. Died in c.1723, at some point before which he and Eleanor rented rooms in Hemmings Row for £13 annual rent. Daughter, Eleanor (b.c.1720), is in service.
