Mentioned in the settlement examination of his widow, Joan, at St Martin in the Fields, 11 December 1739. Trained as a tailor in Scotland, but in London by c.1699, when he married at the chapel in Dukes Place. Kept a house at Marygold Place, St Martin in the Fields for 22 years, paying £9-£10 annual rent. Only son, Peter, trained with his father, but moved to Jamaica. Died c.1737.
