Trained as a tailor in Scotland, but came to London as a servant to Mr Edmonds, tailor in Shandois Street. Served there for four years, after which he married his first, unnamed wife. Married Catherine c.1704 in St Martin's Church. Subsequent life obscure, but apparently practised as a tailor, and died in London 1723.
