Examined for settlement in St Martin in the Fields, 16 August 1742. Aged 36. Married in Montrose, 1719, but widowed c.1731. In London by at least 1740, when she was hired as a servant by one Mrs Belliere in Suffolk Street. Left employment in July 1741, and has done short-term servant work since then. Son by Robert, William, died c.1735. At the time of her examination, pregnant with an illegitimate child, the father of whom she claims is Garret Doyle, foreman in the house of Mr Forrester in Glover Lane, to whom she was servant.
