Examined for settlement in St Martin the Field, 4 January 1734. Aged about 50. Born in Scotland, where he trained as a tailor. Came to London c.1704, and for about 20 years kept a house in Cook's Alley, Bedford Burt, paying £8 annual rent. Married at some point, but widowed c.1730. Currently in the workhouse.
