2nd marquis of Hamilton (1604) and 1st earl of Cambridge (1619). Accompanied James VI to England, and remained a courtier thereafter. Held several offices, including commissioner to the Scottish Parliament (1621), and also entered at Gray's Inn, 25 February 1617. Resided predominantly in London, especially after 1616.
