Second Marquess of Annandale. Elected as MP for Dumfriesshire and Linlithgowshire (West Lothian), but only held seats for six months as deemed ineligible as the eldest son of a Scottish peer. Seems to have spend remainder of life in Europe where he died in Italy (1730).
