Mentioned in the settlement examination of his widow, Alice, 6 December 1733. Originally from Scotland, where he trained as a tailor. Came to London by c.1703, when he married Alice at St Margaret's Church, Westminster. Kept house for several years at Jolly's Court in the Strand, paying £10 annual rent. Died c.1728.
