Mentioned in the settlement examination of his wife, Elizabeth, at St Martin in the Fields, 30 December 1726. Originally from Scotland, where he trained as a tailor, came to London c.1716 and lodged at St Martin the Fields, where he remained in 1726, at which point he voyaged to Baltic for unknown reasons. Now returned to London and is sick in Chatham Hospital. Married Elizabeth at Stepney, 4 December 1721, and by her has James (b.1722) and Daniel (b.1726).
