Examined for settlement in St Martin in the Fields, 23 July 1741. Aged 29. Born on the river Tweed to two Scottish parents. Came to London aged 10, c.1722, as a servant to Mr Dodd, a journeyman tailor in Bradford Bury. Remained there for two years, and subsequent worked in short-term posts. Currently in the workhouse.
