Examined as a vagrant in Gloucester, 30 March 1752. Originally from Edinburgh, but married about 16 months previously to James Gordon, shoemaker, in London. Travelled with him as a journeyman cobbler since December 1751, but he recently abandoned her in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, since when she has had to beg for relief. Sent with a pass towards Maidstone in Kent, her husband's birth-place and place of last legal settlement.
