Educated at Leiden and Rheims. Admitted Licentiate (1688) and Fellow (1703) of the Royal College of Physicians of London (1688). Second physician to Queen Anne (1712) and physician to Caroline, princess of Wales (1714). Elected Fellow of the Royal Society (1708). Published two religious texts and a medical work.
