Executed at Tyburn for forging a money receipt. Graduated MA from University of Aberdeen after ten years of study. Subsequently joined the navy and served on several ships, before becoming clerk of the crown store-ship. Came to London following discharge, where he lived by defrauding, or attempting to defraud, number individuals.
