Examined for settlement in St Martin in the Fields, 22 December 1737. Aged about 24. Born in Edinburgh, but came to London in 1736. Apparently lacking in work and living in the workhouse, she gave birth to an illegitimate son, John, in December 1737. Has named William Sinclair, mate on an East India ship, as the father.
