Mentioned in the settlement examination of his wife, Frances, at St Martin in the Fields, 15 February 1740. Trained as a wig-maker in Scotland, but in London by c.1730, when he married in a Catholic ceremony at an alehouse on Great Ormond Street. Now a lunatic lodged in the Tun and Bottle in Carnaby Street, St James Westminster.
