Daughter of James VI. Moved to London following father's accession to the English throne (1603). As consort of Frederick, served as Electress Palatine (1613-1632) and queen of Bohemia (1618-1620). Lived in exile in Dutch Republic following Frederick's defeat at battle of White Mountain (1620), where she died (1662).
