Examined for settlement in St Martin in the Fields, 22 October 1734. Aged 62. Born in Scotland where he trained as a tailor. Came to London by at least c.1714, when he began renting a house in Bedford Bury for £16 rent per year. Married at this time, but subsequently re-married, c.1724, to Elizabeth, at the Fleet. Currently lodged in Hungerfordmarket.
