Secretary of Campbell, Archibald (London). Voted consistently with the Administration but not enough to protect him from suspicion during 1745 rising on account of his Jacobite ancestry. Elected MP for Aberdeen Burghs 1739, re-elected 1747 but stood down the following year on appointment to a sinecure to the Duke of Argyll.
